Response to a 13 page New York Times article about ongoing child molestation at a prestigious school in New York

  • Seattle, Washington

As a police officer is supposed to enforce the law, a doctor to guard the health of his patient, teachers are assumed to be people who care about their students while striving to guide and support them to have happy and successful futures.

Teachers who betray students are on a stage. Their personal and professional concern for the welfare of their students is a charade that becomes increasingly believable. They see students as their personal stable of potential victims. Anything else about students is, to them, commentary.

That churches and schools have directly or indirectly countenanced this is unspeakable.
