Marriage Equality; 5 – 4

I am in favor of marriage equality, and am glad of the Supreme Court’s ruling,            but disturbed that crucial issues are subject to so many 5-4 rulings.                                   It was 5-4 that put a fraudulently elected President in the White House in 2000.           It was a 5-4 that passed Citizens’ United – effectively giving corporate control over elections.                                                                                                                            Yesterday, it was 5-4 that gutted the Voting Rights Act, allowing disenfranchisement of millions of voters.
This is to name a few of the 5-4 rulings.
    Something is wrong with this.
    Very wrong.
