Sent to a friend in our ongoing political dialogue.

Rich,

When “state intervention” (see below****) is a rigged-game – i.e. corporate lobbyists creating laws – corporations then exist in unrestrained totalitarianism.  The corporate state gives gratuitous lip service to anything other than unbridled profit for corporations.  Fairness, humanity, justice, the planet are talking points given no genuine consideration.  Dissent is denigrated and legally suppressed as unpatriotic.  Corporatism deliberately creates paranoia – systematized delusions – to deflect discontent of non-benefactors of corporate greed, i.e. 99% of the population.  Scapegoats and non-issues become the national dialogue rather than rational discourse.  Religious fanaticism, sexual repression, racism, xenophobia are rampant in the corporate state.  Politics morphs into theater of confusion and infighting.  Conservatism becomes corporatism.  Corporatism is rigged fascism.

       That’s what I believe.

The Corporate State and its Organization (p. 133)

The corporate State considers that private enterprise in the sphere of production is the most effective and usefu [sic] [typo-should be: useful] instrument in the interest of the nation. In view of the fact that private organisation of production is a function of national concern, the organiser of the enterprise is responsible to the State for the direction given to production.

****State intervention in economic production arises only when private initiative is lacking or insufficient, or when the political interests of the State are involved. This intervention may take the form of control, assistance or direct management. (pp. 135-136)
